Encore une soirée formidable au Vicious-Hypnoz hier soir ! Sur le thème démons & vampires.
Beaucoup d'entres vous ont joué le jeu et cela vous a permis de participer au concours qui permettait de remporter 1000l$. Un grand bravo à Fiodora Beck qui a obtenu le plus de votes !

DJ FREDG a encore triomphé en nous mettant le feu au dancefloor sur du son Electro-House! C'est un réel plaisir de t'entendre au Vicious Fred ! Clashman s'est emparé des platines à partir de minuit jusqu'à très tard dans la nuit sur du Hip-Hop R'N'B Ragga.

Egalement hier soir, Vicious-Hypnoz s'est joint aux malheurs du Yaka Club (autre grand club francophone sur sl) en posant une tip jar en signe de solidarité comme beaucoup d'autres clubs mais tout ceci n'est qu'un mauvais souvenir pour Viktor et toute son équipe à qui nous souhaitons une bonne continuation dans ce 2e monde !

Ce soir ! Samedi 24 mai à partir de 21h30 (12.30pm sl time) Soirée Blanche avec DJ Meiggie Asbrink et 2 contests de 1000l$ chacun (homme & femme) ainsi que Raffle ball, moneyball et une ambiance de folie ! Alors ce soir encore! C'est à Vicious que ça se passe !

Still Looking for Help for Sinnocent!

Sinnocent Mirabeau, whose real life medical problems with her dog I wrote about last week, has told me that the surgery has been scheduled for this week. However, she's still some $300 short for the veterinary costs. And we're talking real New-nited States Dollars here, folks, not linden dollars. Sinnocent is still running her BOGO sale at Sinsation (I finally got the acronym right), and I urge you to take advantage of it. New Hair - Both Free and Not!

Cajsa sent me a note that if you joined Speerit's Group right now, all their hair, including the Fatpacks are free. You know I ran over there and picked some up immediately.
I really like the "Elise" Style for practical wear, I did get the fatpack of both natural and wacky colors. Paired with this freebie from Nicky Ree I got at FatCats a million years ago, it's a nice combo I think.
I also picked up Rapunzel just because it's really fun hair, but added bonus was that in the store there was ALSO a couple of freebie gowns! Here I am wearing Rapunzel with one of the evening gowns.

Apparently wearing so much hair makes it impossible for my eyes to stay open.

I took this picture about 5 times and my eyes kept closing, so I gave up.

The braids are really nice detail, though, and the hair is a fun addition. I'm not sure WHAT I will do with it.

The evening gown, on the other hand, I will wear someplace for sure. It's a lovely color and wears very well on the old cartoon body.

Is there such a thing as too many evening gowns?

Before I left the house to go find adventure I changed into a fun party dress from Bijou and the Elise hair.

As I was wandering around last night in search of something different and fun, you'll never guess what I ran into.

Aveda!

I am not kidding they built an AvedaInstitute in Second Life!

So even though I didn't have an appointment, you know I had to go inside!
What sort of product does my pixel hair need to be it's healthiest?

I am just glad this stuff wasn't actually for sale, because then just like in RL I'd have felt like I needed to buy some because my hair COULD be healthier and I'd end up spending twenty dollars on shampoo....

and so on.

You know what I mean.

Well, the GIRLS know what I mean.

Anyway, I set about trying on some hairstyles - all of which are by ETD - but branded Aveda.

First up was the Short Crop.
File this under NO.
I don't like short hair, and I really don't like mod short cuts. It's just not prissy girly enough for me. I do think, however, it's quite GOOD hair. The style is very nice - but I wouldn't expect less from ETD.

Next I found a winner. Short Layered.

I picked up the Naturals FatPack of this one. I can't SEE but I look cool!

They also had a meditation room and a massage table in the room next door. I stopped in and checked them out, but no masseure was on hand!

All that running around going to pixel day spas and buying scads of hair really wears a girl out. I was glad to retun home to Quiricosta and slip into my pajamas and relax for the evening. The vanity set came from Loks Low Prim and includes the brush for brushing out your lovely new hair. It's only $L99 and 7 Prims, this is a lovely addition to your home, and I HAD to have one when we remodeled Quiricosta.
It's lovely, and sooo relaxing actually. I love this piece!

And somebody, remind me NO MORE HAIR for a while.

Olá a todos!!! :)

Com este post inicio a minha colaboração com o blog Vicious Studios.

A minha intenção é poder abrir um forúm de discussão de temas sobre as experiências de cada um no SL. Criar um espaço de debate aberto à participação de todos, e desde já aceito sugestões, comentários e ideias sobre assuntos que vos interessem ver abordados... Festas e eventos, Arte, desporto, jogos, meditação, formas de sociedade no metaverse, e dentro de tudo isto a comunicação, base lapidar de toda a forma de relacionamento humano e avatar, claro está. Enviem-me os vossos comentários, chamem os amigos porque aqui há lugar para se falar de tudo o que vos passa pela cabeça... ou pelo coração ;P, eu prometo que respondo a todos e tento abordar as ideias propostas.

Escrevo em português, mas como lugar do mundo o SL fala muitas línguas e culturas, daí que esperem ver posts igualmente escritos em espanhol, inglês, francês ou italiano.

Este é apenas o primeiro para me apresentar a todos os seguidores do Vicious Studios. Tenho também outro blog chamado "My Second Life is the New First", uma espécie de repositório de pensamentos que esvoaçam em redor do avatar Te Rang hehehe ;D

E agora sentem-se em redor do blog, tragam as anotações, façam desenhos... que eu estou por aqui sempre à espreita. ^..^

If you read Harper's Post you know that Sinnocent Mirabeau is really needing lindens so that she is able to give her puppy surgery that is needed! RL surgery not cartoon puppy surgery.
I took up the cause last night and made a run to the Hairspray Region to see what there was to see and to help out!
At Sinsation she's put out two freebies that are just super cool that you have to see first of all.

Si mis kekos bellos... el sabado 19-04-08 realizamos una megarumba en camisetas mojadas con nuestro DJ Quepazza... quien demostro ser el mejor en los controles... jajaja que musica lobito... estuvistes genial...
El lag nos atormetaba... sobre todo a mi... jajaj... pero sin embargo luchamos contra el... y realizamos la mejor fiesta nunca antes vista... rifamos un terreno y la ganadora fue Becky... muchas felicidades keka...ahora tienes tu terrenito... jajajaj
Tambien realizamos la Bola de las Rifas con 100L$ cada 15 minutos... para esto me ayudo Socrate... Gracias socrate sin ti no hubiera realizado una buena rumba... mmuuuaacckkksss y sigue moviendo el culete...jajajaj
Mucha gente asistio, por un momento se lleno la sim y el laggg era insoportable... pero no nos importo porq la estabamos pasando genial... y uffff hacia muchisimo calor.... que hasta a los bomberos tuvimos que llamar....jajajajaj
A raiz de esto Vicente Bolero decido renovar la disco y hacer una disco mas comoda y con menos laggg y menos de dos dias estuvo lista... asi que ahora puedes ir a ver la nueva disco....te esperamosss

July’s BlogHer conference in San Francisco is near and that means it is time to beginning planning a parallel conference in the virtual world of Second Life.
I’m proud last year’s ‘experimental’ conference was a runaway hit, and hope those who are unable to attend the San Francisco conference and Second Lifers are ready to make this year bigger and better.
We are already planning on more Second Life experts to help guide you before the big days in July and your feedback and ideas are key to crafting the kind of event YOU want.
As Elisa Camahort Page wrote in her call for ideas for San Francisco, we’d love to see the Second Life attendees participate in the exact same way:
“Why a ‘Call for Ideas’ and not a ‘Call for Speakers’ or ‘Call for Proposals’ or something like that? Because BlogHers are a generous bunch, and there are plenty of you who like to recommend other people to speak and want to suggest panels you'd like to attend, not personally speak on. Call for Help for Sinnocent Mirabeau

Gentle readers, if you have some extra lindens in your pockets, I've heard of a fellow avatar in need.

Sinnocent Mirabeau, the owner of Sinsation Hair in Hairspray, sent out a notecard with good news and bad news. Since the note is public (she has a dispenser in her store), I reproduce it here to let her tell it in her own words:

Hi everyone.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this, but I figure my crisis and personal heartache can maybe have something good come out of it. Hopefully for myself and for all the people in SL who like my hair or skins and want to get 2 for the price of one.

Anyways, here’s the deal. I normally hold sales like this every few months just for kicks and as a fun way to get people even more hair than they’d normally be able to purchase on their own. However, this sale is of great importance to me for other reasons.

A week ago my 9 month old baby puppy, Eris, (even tho she’s not so little anymore) started to have a mass growing in her ear. I thought she had just gotten bitten by something outside and it would clear up in a few days. Well that didn’t happen. In fact, the mass got about 8x bigger. So I took her to the vet yesterday and got the worst possible news.

She didn't get bitten; she has a tumor and a hematoma forming in her ear and she needs surgery to remove it. Otherwise it will just get bigger and bigger and will either.. rupture… get badly infected…. and most likely both will happen.. and the infection the doc said will eventually kill her.. sooner rather than later.

The even worse news is exactly how much it’s going to cost to save her… Which is $1447.00 US. I was in shock when given that figure because it is just not a price I can even close to afford. I’m getting married in RL in September to my sl hubby and I’ve had to put most of my money towards that for deposits and all the other wedding junk that I need.

The irony is that she was my engagement present, and now… my wedding is the thing that has taken up all my money and put me in this spot. Blah…

So at any rate I’ll get right to the point.. I have a very little window of time in order to raise the money to save her.. so I decided I would do a buy one get one free sale in order to try and help to get some of the money for her surgery.

Everything in my shop is eligible for the sale, nothing at all is excluded. The basic idea is whatever you buy.. you get something of equal or lesser value.. free.

So if you buy a skin you can get a skin free or a couple hairs, doesnt matter. Anything goes.

All you have to do is purchase what you want, then send me a notecard with what you purchased and which items you would like to receive free. I will send them on out to you after that.

I suspect anyone who likes outrageous hair knows of Sinsation. If you've seen some of my Flickr photos, you've seen me sporting Sinnocent's work. It's good, and I want to throw my support behind her. I've already done so materially; I purchased a fatpack for £5,000, and I've requested a £3,500 fatpack as my freebie. Cajsa and I have been dredging the worlds couture designers for freebies.

I'm head to toe Freebie in this shot. Including skin. I picked up the hair at X3D - Digit Darkes added Brat Fat Pack to the hair freebies. The dress says "Free Gift from Aura"....and I apologize, I dunno where I got it. Free! Yeah, I know lame I should've kept track. But hey designers PUT YOUR LANDMARK in your freebies! Silly rabbits.

The skin was a freebie, LOLITA from Bare Rose.

I've also been looking for an Elephant Foot umbrella stand for my new house. I have NOT found one dammit! But, in my searches I did stumble into an Aztec Rainforest Residential Sim. It's called the Rainforest. It's just lovely.
Human Sacrifice anyone? (dress is from Cache! Louvre it's called.)

And speaking of the new house, it's coming together and we'll have the grand opening of our new estate on Silo's rez day April 25. We've been putting it all together for some time. We just picked up the most excellent love seat from Rustica. It's part of their Vegas Victorian collection. I got a little sleepy though last night, and had to put on my SL pajamas.

Hola mis kekos bellos... una vez mas se realizo un gran evento en vicious... el domingo 6-04-08 a las 12.30pm SLT los angeles aterrizaron en Vicious-HYpnoz...
Mucha gente asistio al evento... muchos angelitos es que todos somos angelitos... jajajaj... se realizo concurso al mejor angelito por 1000L$ y varias bolas raffle de 100L$ cada 15 minutos...
La mayor sorpresa de la noche es que se realizaron varios sploder... si mis kekos bellos... eso no estaba programado pero la rumba estaba prendida... con DJ Yezachel... en mejor en su estilo...
Les decia que se realizaron varios sploder... uno de 1000L$... otro de 3000L$... varios de 600L$ y otro de 3800L$... siiiii... por eso hay que estar siempre presentes en todos los eventos...

Goth Night at Vicious Hypnoz

It was an evening of darkness and macabre humor at Vicious Hypnoz as we rocked the night away Saturday April5.

I broke out my old goth tattoo that I picked up a million years ago. This was my FIRST SL skin that didn't come with my AV. I had forgotten it came with ASS tattoos!

Good stuff, eh?

Everyone came looking very pensive and dark! Furrball and Tygar Desoto looked marvelous and came to represent the furry crowd!

Silo represented the truly dark and macabre in his coffin/death clown outfit.

We say good bye to Cajsa Lilliehook who has been an invaluable member of the American Vicious Staff over the past year. We will miss you Cajsa and know that you are now just going to come to events and win all the prizes,and make more money than you did in salary, aren't you?

I'm really sad about Cajsa leaving, so in lieu of anything witty to say, I'll leave you with a snap of me and Silo as always.

Maht Wuyt's, while not busy with photography, DJ'ing or running his shop on Vicious Island, is a fierce costume competitor and he went all out for the Hottest Freebie AV contest Tuesday night. Going in a different direction than the rest of us who scrambled for good freebies and combed the SLFreeStyle blog for ideas, Maht went to his treasure trove of Vicious Raffle winnings and created the ultimate Freebie Monster!!! Yes, those are lava lamp pants and a lampshade shirt. He was a sight to behold with his martini glass and rose shoes and deservedly ran away with the prize.

freebies. Here they are sweeping the floor while dancing the infamouse OMG dance from Sine Wave. Many clubs include that dance to save on janitorial services and Vicious-Hypnoz does the same.

Aniversario de Vicious-Hypnoz...la celebracion de los tres dias fue todo un exito... toda la familia vicious estuvo presente y muchisima gente estuvo apoyando este gran evento...
El evento de clausura fue espectacular... se repartieron muchisimos pero muchisimos lindens durante todo el dia en el Club con la Bola Raffle... Y como sorpresa DJ Gargola nos ofrecio una sesion inolvidable como regalo de cumpleanos para Vicious-Hypnoz... Linden Lab's New Brand Center

Just to keep myself on the safe side of the lawyers, any "conclusions" as to the law obtained by me below are not necessarily correct legal opinion or precedent, and should not be regarded as such. So don't rely on my word for it, folks. All I can claim is that, having seen some experience with these things over my time, I think I'm pretty close to how the real world works with these questions.

Yesterday, Linden Lab announced through the Big Blog the creation of its "Second Life Brand Center," which lays out strong, explicit rules and examples of how its various trademarks and service marks may be used. "Discussion" started quickly in the comments section to the announcement article; and, across 139 comments (as of this writing), the consensus has been strongly -- if not almost universally -- sarcastic, disparaging, and just plain negative. At least one commenter suggested that LL might be preparing for an initial public stock offering, and is trying to establish control of tangible and intangible assets, which trademarks certainly are to a company. (Witness the trademark inspectors who were running around restaurants during the Seventies and Eighties at the height of the Cola Wars, making sure that waitresses identified their product as their product.) Many were angry that, while LL is taking steps to protect their copyrighted material, the company seems unwilling to do anything to protect the same rights for Resident merchants.

In reality, this kind of lawyerly comedown is not that new. Any subscriber to, say, Writer's Digest will see batches of ads several times a year imploring authors to refer only to Kleenex™ facial tissues or Frigidaire™ refrigerators, etc. This is to protect their brand name and market position, since excessive use in a generic way forces the name into the public domain. That's why we have Velcro, and then we have everyone else making "hook-and-eye fastener strips."

The trick here is that many of these new rules put out by Linden Lab appear aimed mainly at businesses, both in world and out, seeking to associate themselves with Second Life. This is to keep customers from believing that the Lindens have endorsed, support, or otherwise have any connection with the third-party service/product. There is some legitimacy to this position, and such a stroke by Linden Lab helps to keep them out of the court if the third party gets hauled into it. A portion of the tempest over the rule changes is, therefor, in a teapot, and won't affect the average Resident normally.

Other parts, however, could. Or, at least, they could affect the average blog writer. If you're now supposed to put a ™ or similar after at least one early example of Second Life, Linden Lab, SL, Linden dollars, etc. ad inf. ad naus., are you going to when you're not getting paid to write a piece in the first place? Or are you going to shut down your efforts instead, because the ease and simplicity have been taken from an enterprise that makes you no money, and was embarked on as an extension of the fun you were supposedly having in world? Most of us aren't lawyers, and we can't usually afford to hire a trademark attorney to advise us in such areas. (I'd be willing to guess what the lawyer's advice would work out as, anyway.)

I think the answer for most bloggers lies in the volume of us out there, and the nature of our writing -- primarily hobbyist. Just as Coke and Pepsi have never been able to keep the public at large from referring to their products interchangeably, or as simply "soda," "pop," and so on, Linden Lab is not going to be try to enforce this on every single blogger in the SLogosphere. The attempt would be impractical at best. Of course, if a comply or cease-and-desist communication was received by the blogger, that casts a new aspect on the matter. At that point, the choices become sharp and clear. But will LL go to this trouble, and also generate this much ill will for their main product, which is already somewhat beleaguered with slowing growth and many technical issues?

My own approach will be as I've laid out above -- I will wait and see, and continue to write the various terms as I have to date. If I get word from a San Francisco lawyer, then we will see what my choices are at the time. If LL is wise, though, they will take a Paramount-Star Trek approach to fannish use of their trademarks. Paramount has existed quite comfortably with the fan community using their shows' names, their characters, their devices, and every other aspect of their product for over 40 years now, and has almost never freaked or been sorry over the matter. Linden Lab can learn from this example.

Another aspect of this question comes forward now: LL's insistence on its copyrights, while dragging its heels at best on the cries of their creation's artists for assistance in their own attempts to enforce intellectual property rights. In this, LL's timing has been nothing short of phenomenally poor. The people who are responsible for creating most of the world are getting the impression that they are on their own; that Governor Linden is more worried about protecting its own interests than theirs, and that they can basically go whistle for a wind. And this after one of the largest JIRA votes in the Grid's history for Linden Lab to solve the problem and enforce DMCA rights, months before the Brand Center announcement. This accounts for some of the outcry against the Brand Center rules -- and it is justified.

While the merchants -- the content creators -- are able to take some measures to prevent or slow theft of their product, the Lindens could also help greatly in this area. The key thing here, of course, is proof of the creators' contentions. Can they establish the legitimacy of any claim against a seller? If they can, then LL is under a legal obligation to stop the thief's profiting from that intellectual property. Indeed, at least to this legal novice, failure to help enforce their rights could lay LL open to civil charges of negligence -- or even complicity, if a clever lawyer got hold of the case.

In this area, the Lindens need to get their house in order vis-a-vis their customer relations before getting over-worried about enforcing their own property rights. If the content creators leave the Linden Grid in a huff for other metaverses, Linden Lab won't have to worry about it --because they won't have a Grid to market.

The biggest and only partnering congratulations I have ever given in SL go to our dear friends and fellow Vicious - Maht and Cajsa. (Maht is Vicious by association- he started hanging out at Vicious with Cajsa and never left. We've adopted him.)
It was a private reception at MDR and it was just lovely.
It was nice to be at a lovely event with friends as we all celebrated the SL Partnering that was truly several months in the making.
Good grief, it TOOK you guys long enough.
Possibly one of my favorite moments of the evening was when I had on the dress I arrived in (NOT PICTURED) and Silo said "OMG are you wearing THAT?" and Vic said "GOD ARE YOU NAKED? You look like a white whore!" (He oughta know he used to be a pimp) Okay so first Vic, then Silo (who is actually the only opinion that matters)- lemme 'splain;it was an asian evening gown with slits up the side so I changed it immediately. However when I told Maht, he suggested that White Whore was a great band name.
We worked up all of the plans for this band, including when we sell out and use our music for commercials. We think we'll be like the Everly Brothers and both sing, but we'll be uberhip and you'll be peer pressured into liking us, like the WHITE STRIPES.

Yeah, we're gonna be famous. I'm sure of it.

Am I REALLY Two Events Behind In Posting?

Yeah.........so heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere we go!!!

First off we had the Bad Demo Hair party and man, there is some BAD demo hair out there I gotta say. I thought I had the bad hair rockin with my trailer park princess styled do.
This is some of the worst hair ever, btw. The alpha textures are floating all around. If the version you pay for is better than this I'd love to know why she put the demo out like this.
Anyway.
Some lovely demos rocked the place however. Even Maht and Furrball broke out the demo hair and enjoyed a tango.

And NEVER let it be said that Vic doesn't attend events or participate. Here you see him sporting some LOVELY BIB Mens' hair that I'm sure he had stuck in inventory somewhere. Probably in with that box of his nipples I almost stole last year.

Or something like that.
I might be exaggerating.

Boopzee came and rocked not just one bad hairstyle but SEVERAL also all from Sinsations (noticeably lacking crazy alpha textures floating around although they were crazy).
All in all it was a lot of fun seeing what sort of hideousness everyone had tucked away in inventory. As always, Silo came in style.

Our next BIG event was the Easter Party and we told you to bring your Easter Bonnet with all the frills upon it and we had lots of GREAT outfits!
As you can tell, Vicente Bolero is one hot guy, with rabbit like habits. No WONDER the ladies LOOOOOVE him. I mean, what a mug!

Both Anna Decuir AND Lacie Jewell were able to make it (I can't find my picture of Lacie I think SL ate it darnit!) and it was awesome to see these ladies!

And we were joined by the recently partnered Dinee and Doc - who were absolutely fabulously fashionable as always. Dinee gave us some awesome items for the raffle! Thanks so much Dinee!

Boopzee brought the Easter Fashion and so did Silo again this week. I guess we didn't specify Easter Holiday and not Easter Island, now did we?

Our big winner was Boran Horan! Congrats Boran! Not exactly in an Easter Bonnet.......but the people voted! Boopzee decided to end the night as an Easter Basket. Fun choice eh?

For some reason, unknown to me, I have no pictures of Cajsa from that night. And she was totally cute.

St Patricks Day Recap

We had great turnout for our St Patricks Day MEGA party! We started out the night at 7pm SLT with Maht's Mix Tape, our regular Monday Event. The Newly Partnered Maht was spinning the tunes from the 80s!

Congrats to Maht and Cajsa, we're all so happy for you!
Be sure to stop by Vicious Hypnoz on Mondays at 7pm to catch more of Maht's Mix Tape! You'll find Arcadia and Rhodesy there! (they lose points for not wearing green though - but they're still gorgeous!)

I am beginning to suspect Rhodesy of having a limitless supply of purple hair. I think I need to plan a Purple Haze event and put her to the test! Arcadia and Rhodesy are usually here for Maht's Mix tape event plus other Vicious Events, so come by and say hi to a couple of my favorite girls!

It was great to meet lots of new friends and everyone looked fantastic!
We had some people wander in who asked why were all dressed in green.
I suppose they REALLY wondered why Silo was dressed like this?
I didn't wonder, he's my cupcake!

Shae and Birdie stopped by for the first time and we all hit it off with them immediately.....especially when Shae was a good sport and put on the ladies dress he won! Nicely worn Shae! And Birdie was completely rocking the green boots - she was one of our contest winners that night! Way to go! Shae and his extraordinary fashion sense was another winner - it was a three way tie that night!

I used St Patrick's Day as a fashion experiment......I wondered WHAT I could get for nothing, or NEXT to nothing?
I ended up with four dresses that I paid 1 linden or less for each.
First up....

This is a skin and eyes that I got on ONREZ for $L1 each. The hair is part of a fatpack from Digit Darkes and her brilliant Diversity Hair that I got fora freebie for $L1. The DOWNSIDE to this dress and new skin was A. I didn't check the skin properly for it's NUDE state and B. The dress didn't have glitch pants. I realized this as my glaring black bush was showing (this skin seemed to have a rather hairy bush lol).
Next up was one from Thalia that I also picked up on Onrez, the hair again is another freebie fatpack from Digit Darkes. I like this dress, especially the fact that it CAME with GLITCH PANTS!
The third outfit was from Bubblefish and it's sort of a MEH from me. It's ok. It was free, but I dunno if I'd ever wear it again. The hair is also Diversity Fatpack again, and the flowers in my hair were from DJRobyn Writer who also made many other excellent St Patty's themed items to give away. It was great! This was the only outfit I had where you could St Patty's navel ring - but I'm not all excited about this outfit in general.

The third outfit was hands down the grand prize winner. The hair is from Digit Darkes but it's part of a set I paid good money for it, but the dress was free free free. Niiiice eh? Jewelry is from RiCX. Here is a close up of the skin that I got for $L1 on ONREZ for St Patty's Day. I got a great on on ONREZ for Valentine's day, which was sooo cute. And I also got these shamrock eyes - the pupils are shamrocks. They didn't cost more than $L1.

Cayenne Republic joined us agan and broke out some very unusual Fairy Wings. She was the other winner in our three way tie for the costume contest!

As always Furrball came in fashionable fur.

Our new friend Boopzee decided to break out some Alien Style and she and Silo cut quite the rug for a while. We do not descriminate against the Cupcake and Alien couples who come to Hypnoz, just in case this fits YOU!

As always Cajsa and I were thrilled to see EVERYONE who attended and looked forward to seeing everyone at our next events - BAD DEMO HAIR NIGHT and our EASTER PARTY - on EASTER EVE! See you there!

"Ever Have a Bad Hair (Demo) Day?"

Well, a lot of the folks at the party in Hypnoz did last night. Here are some photos I took from the shindig:

1. Looks like Silo Uriza was really having a bad hair day!
2. Rhodesy Durant in just one of the styles she showed us. I was lucky to get this; every time I set up for a shot, Rhodesy suddenly slapped on another demo wig, and she'd ruth out on me for a few minutes (grin).
3. Maht Wuyts and Furrball Nirpaw do a tango together.

4. Myself, in a demo from I don't remember where. I entered the contest, but I had no real hope of winning; the only bad thing about this hair was the bangs right across my eyes.
5. I was dancing most of the night beside the house DJ, Robyn Writer. I don't know who won the contest, as I had to leave to get to the darkroom (grin); but I'd say Robyn should have got the prize.

6. Boopzee Slade channels Marilyn Monroe -- from the neck down.
7. Casja Lilliehook with what looks like some curious ornament in her hair.
8. The house's hostess w/ the mostest (for the night, at least), Gidge Uriza, doing a Hillbilly Helen thing from Sinsation.
9. kevin Bloch actually looked pretty good!

10. miwo Varriale gets down.
11. Sable Heartsdale in some sort of cornrow affair, I think.

Et Tu Brute? Toga Party!

We celebrated the assasination of Caesar in style with a Toga Party at Vicious Hypnoz. I'm not sure that is is completely appropriate, celebrating someone's assasination, but clearly I was not the only one who thought of it based on the number of Toga parties on the SL calendar. I actually had TWO on my social schedule yesterday, and started my night off at a Concierge event that Vic asked me to go to, to represent Vicious Island. It was on a beautiful Sim with tons of landscaping and Greco- Roman architecture.
But you know the problem I always have on those Sims? It's that if everything isn't rezzed properly, and you don't KNOW you aren't walking on the path then you fall into a cave or get stuck in a rockface wall and spend five minutes trying to get out? Is that just me? It was beautiful and I picked up a goodie bag which I haven't opened yet. Can't wait to check it out, though!
Everyone came in excellent Roman Style to the party at Hypnoz.

Rhodesy and Arcadia were fashionistas as ALWAYS and much congratulations to Arcadia whose Cleopatra costume won her the $L500 prize.
As always it was great to see Boran Horan, and Sable brought newcomer Devarow Thor to party with the Vicious.
With DJRobyn Writer spinning the tunes we had a great turnout of Friends, Romans and Countrymen. (You knew I had to say it). I do have to say I LOVED Boopzee's toga- notice the CENSORED bar over the boobie? Hilarious! She had modded a male toga and it was, ahem, more revealing than she cared for. Oh and that Centurion is Necrophage - out of his STORMTROOPER gear, can you believe it?
Vicious Model and friend Eleanor Enoch came by rocking a completely hot modern toga look. I had looked at this one a couple of times, so I'm glad I didn't get it or we'd have been twins!

How cute is she? I think she recently got a new skin, which I'm totally loving.

Joining us as always in high fashion was Maht who had a great Centurion costume. Should I have reminded him that the Legion wasn't allowed inside the gates of Rome?

I was totally digging the tattoo all night, it cracked me up. I kept telling people I earned it "The Hard Way."

DJRobyn had some of my favorite hair of the night (that wasn't mine. I bought some scripted hair which I swear is going to be another blog post completely). And all in all I was delighted with all of the fun togas people showed up in.
Silo rocked the toga in his robot way.

We had a 50s Style Party at Vicious Hypnoz on Tuesday Night. It had been a while since I picked up a fun dance floor for a party so when we saw this one, you know we just HAD to have it!
Cajsa and Gidge did not color coordinate on purpose, but they managed a pretty cute look regardless. I think they must have called each other! Lots of fun folks attended and HUGE thanks to Sable Heartsdale who created HULA HOOPS for the event and passed them out to everyone who was ready to give it a shot! Boopzee, a friend of Silo's twirled hers like a pro!
At first we had a slight problem that it would take off prim skirts and you know, we'd all dug up some extra CUTE prim skirst and did NOT want them coming off, but this was soon rectified by choosing a different attach point and the hula hooping got underway in earnest!
Sable you rule! Thanks SOOO much!

It was great to meet new friends like Lyuzaki Eel (pictured below) who came to hang out with us.

Also Ali Matova joined us and it was great to see her also! I hope you newcomers had a good time and that you'll come back to more events. We really enjoyed meeting all of you!

All in all it was a good night and it was a lot fo fun seeing what everyone wore.

Of course no 50s night is ever complete until Danny and Sandy show up, now is it?
At first we were in danger of the Pink Ladies and T-Birds not being represented but of course Gidge and Silo took care of that for us!

We had an awesome Pirate Party at Vicious Hypnoz on Saturday night! It was great to see everyone!

We had Furry pirates, and Dragon pirates and all manner of pirates showed up.

The Pirates of Vicious Island Invade TONIGHT!

9pm SLT! The PIRATE PARTY! Which is not to be confused with the PIRATE MOVIE!
Because the PIRATE MOVIE was lame. But this party has it all including a full sized pirate ship that I rezzed inside Hypnoz. It's huge, my brother used to live in it!

We'll have a $L500 prize for best pirate costume AND we'll be giving away excellent raffle prizes all night long! So break out the pirate speak on your babbler and get down to Vicious Hypnoz at 9pm SLT!

Grand Opening of MDR Studios - New Location!

MDR Studios held their GRAND OPENING of their NEW location on Koh Nana Island Last night. It was a Greek and Roman Gods theme. Silo and I can't read, so we thought it was Greek or Eqyptian Gods. So, we dressed accordingly.
Yeah that is Anubis (Silo) with 3D Glasses on. Pretty cool, eh?
I wasn't able to get a lot of snaps because I was on a slower PC but it was a great night, their new location is lovely.
I told Maht I wasn't sure that purple hair was legion issue.
Cajsa had on the most Gorgeous Toga also.
I'm not sure where she got it. I got my entire outfit on ONREZ though and after having SHOPPPED both in world and out of world for Egyptian Costumes I'd like to say OH SHIT that stuff is too high. I mean it's really detailed and beautiful, maybe if you were role playing it would make more sense.
But I love what I found on ONREZ - so I thought I'd share the links if you are looking for an Egyptian Costume in Second Life. This dress was called NILE PRINCESS and includes complete outfit except the hair. Shoes, the whole works. It was realyl nice, an only $L229! This is the hair I picked up. Much more appropriate for a party dress, vs. a role playing dress which would make sense to be an investment.
The designer of my dress also had a great price on a male Pharoah Costume. So check it out if you are in need!
If wouldn't be a night with our friends in SL if Furrball and Silo didn't cut the rug at some point!

Furrball was a lucky kitty and won a $L1000 photo session with Cajsa at the MDR studios. Lucky lucky lucky. Now he just has to decide which kitty AV he is going to wear!
I guess the fun of going out on a date with Anubis is having an Egyptian God play a little grab-ass with you. Those are some BIG hands, aren't they?

Who Killed Vicente Bolero - REVEALED

Okay so we had some EXCELLENT guesses and I am SO BLOWN away by ALL the entries we got that everyone will be receiving a special gift from me, just for playing. (I do mean the people who turned in an answer). We had THREE guesses that were correct, DJRobyn Writer, Boran Horan and Sable Heartsdale. Since we had a tie - we drew for the winner of the $L1000! Congrats to DJRobyn Writer for winning.

But since only two other people got it right, I think that both of you should expect a little something cool coming to you from me, as a thank you for playing and a congrats for getting it right.

I think what freaks me out most is that Boran Horan got it right before I even got the killer's profile on the blog as a suspect. So Boran Horan - whose alt ARE you? Kidding kidding kidding.

Well the night was excellent, we had several folks come by including some new friends like Pixel Breda and we were glad to see all of you.

Since I had such good response from all you lovely AVs out there, I'm even going to send out consolation presents off OnRez or SLX to all of you, to watch for inventory offers. The ones from SLX will be identified but you know, OnRez never tells you who something is from. Anyway, if you get some random nice present - it's from The Vicious!
Now, who WAS the killer?
Well, it might not have been who you thought, but it was the mild mannered SILO URIZA.
We fixed him though, and held and execution right on the stage of HYPNOZ.

Of course like every execution, we had protesters.

I got a lot of great pictures from the evening, and they'll all be up on Flickr in a day or two. Also Harper Gainesvoort from AROUND THE GRID WITH HARPER contributed some excellent shots, so I'll post hers over there too!

Vicious Murder Mystery Suspect #10

You might be surprised to know that our final suspect is Cajsa Lilliehook.
A lady with a lot of class and style, Cajsa at first seemed a strange fit to hang out with the Vicious Crowd.

It's not that we don't have class and style, it's just that we also like to blow things up and have been known to count pimps, escorts and hitmen among our number and so having someone with an interest in the arts was a strange add.

But, it was a great add the way way it turned out.

Cajsa has become a welcome addition to the Vicious Family and it's her love of what is right and stylish that makes her a fun contributor to our events and our island.

Now, it doesn't mean we always do what she suggests......but it's nice to have solutions that don't involve smoking trashcans. (yes Vic you heard me, SMOKING TRASH CANS DAMMIT).

Cajsa does have some pet peeves that make it hard for her to hang out with us, though.

The fact that we constantly move or tear stuff down wears her out. (Yeah, we do, but we have SL- ADD so leave us alone). She works hard to make beautiful structures or objects - and then Vic'll change his mind and return it after she spent a week building. It's annoying, but it is how he rolls.

And she HATE, HATES the fact that Vic NEVER NEVER NEVER pronounces her name correctly. I mean NEVER. He never never never never never says her name properly. Is that enough reason for her to kill? I mean, women get moody but.....
And you know, I just realized this.....pictured with Vicente at the scene of the crime....who IS that? What is that in her hand? A magnifying glass?

Wait a minute........why was CAJSA as the scene of the crime? Hmmmmm.

Vicious Murder Mystery Suspect #9

The mild mannered Furrball Nirpaw is the only furry who is a regular in the Vicious crew. Beloved by the Vicious and the team over at MDR, Furrball has become a fixture at Vicious Events.

But it's tough being the only furry at an event, even though we at Vicious always welcomed him with open arms, finding connections with his own kind has always been a challenge for him on Vicious Island.

But did he really have to tolerate disrespect from the Vicious, such as Vicente Bolero relieving himself in his litter box? In Vic's defense, he really had to go. And it WAS really impressive....that no hands move.

But you know how cats ARE about their litter boxes.

Was it enough to warrant MURDER?
